I had been very busy these past few years and I finally got the chance to take a break. I know, I am lucky, but it comes with a price...my husband and I are apart for a year (due to military orders). We decided that I will take a break from work or at least cut down and have more time with our son. When we moved to Washington, I got in to one of the best commercial photography schools in Seattle...if not, the best. No kidding. I am really proud of the teachers and mentors that helped my classmates and I become the best version of ourselves. After I graduated, I got lucky and found a full time job as a studio manager/lead photographer on top of doing some freelance gigs in Seattle. It took a toll on me, I got burnt out because I worked more hours than I should've. Now I have the chance to restart...start fresh, manage my time better, and have more time with my family.
I am currently in Anchorage, Alaska but I still go back to Seattle for work and visit friends. I will most likely be there this summer.
I just recently changed my website. I finally decided to combine my food and wedding images together in one site. It took a long time before I decided to do this but I finally had the courage to do it.
It's really hard being apart with my husband but my son keeps me on my toes! There are a lot of things to look forward to in 2018! We will be moving to California, start my business there (maybe 2019), move to a new house, and the best part is that my family will be whole again!
